Who we are
Iron Ox is building robotic greenhouses to supply fresh and sustainable produce to grocery stores and restaurants. We’re a team from Willow Garage, Google[x], and Savioke that are passionate about deeply understanding and developing the new wave of technology to feed people. Iron Ox is a well-funded startup backed by Y Combinator and located in the SF Bay Area.
Who we’re looking for
To automate the farm, we use multiple facets of robotics, including autonomous mobile robots, 6DOF arms, computer vision, motion planning, machine learning and more. We are looking for a senior roboticist who is open to a variety of robotics-related projects. You will be working closely with a cross-disciplinary team, including plant scientists, mechanical engineers, and more.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in robotics or related field.
- 3+ years job experience writing robotics software.
- Ability and desire to move quickly and iterate.
- Strong programming ability in C++ and/or Python.
Nice to have
- Experience with ROS, OpenCV, or MoveIt Libraries.
- Exposure to agriculture.
