Any info of ROS 3(found ros3.org website)? [Moderator Note: No, we're not planning ROS 3]

I accidently found this website ROS3

I’d like to check any info about this website :smiling_face_with_heart_eyes:

Any public info leaked from the forum? :squinting_face_with_tongue:

The link basically leads here: ~alecgraves/rose - A Beautiful Interface to ROS - sourcehut git .

Totally nothing “leaked” - hint is in the base URL:

Welcome to git.sr.ht! This is the git hosting service for sourcehut, the hacker’s forge

Y’all, if we were planning a ROS 3 you would be the first to know (PMC and TGC meeting minutes, like anyone reads those). More importantly, you would know it is official because there would be a space between “ROS” and “3.”

I’m the one sifting through the Google Alerts and hash tags to surface community stuff. The ROS acronym gets used in LOTS of other places (K-POP, video games (Rise of Skywalker), real estate, Rajistahn Opthamologist Society, “Real Operational Security” (Brazilian police training), there’s even a journalist named Ros Atkins at the BBC, …").

Pretty sure we already decided to following Windows numbering conventions after ROS 2 anyway.

  • ROS 3.1
  • ROS 95
  • ROS 98
  • ROS ME
  • ROS XP

And so on!

That being said, lots of fun/interesting ideas on the link that @peci1 posted above. I, for one, would love to see a Nuklear-based GUI and a Hare client library!
