Dear ROS community,
safe mobile manipulation is one of the key abilities to open up new applications areas for mobile service robots outside industrial environments. Fraunhofer IPA is developing this technology for different robots and applications:

We are searching for several outstanding, highly motivated and ambitious researchers to complement our service robot software development team. Candidates should already have experience in the area of real-time motion planning for mobile manipulators. They should have completed their degree with outstanding academic results and come with. Candidates further should have significant programming experience in C++ and preferably have already been working with the robot operating system ROS.
Fraunhofer IPA, located in Stuttgart/Germany is a leading center for applied robotics research. We develop and implement key technologies in innovative industrial robot solutions, service robots and intelligent machines. We closely interact with industry in order to transfer innovative robotics technologies and applications to new products and solutions.
