We have over 200 packages queued up for release so it’s time to think about another sync.
I’ve identified one regressions specific to debian jessie: https://github.com/ros/rosdistro/issues/13199
If you know of any other issues that would be good to address, please reply here.
Otherwise we’ll plan to sync soon.

Is there anything left stopping this sync? Having these packages in Ubuntu would be handy.

These packages went out on the 15th. Here’s the announcement New Packages for Jade and Kinetic 2016-11-15
We’re probably due for another sync relatively soon. I see one regression that might be an issue: https://github.com/ros-simulation/gazebo_ros_pkgs/issues/513

If it’s something I should solve please leave me a hint about that 
I’m looking forward to the next Kinetic sync for our first MoveIt! release
