Dear All,

My name is Hatem Darweesh, I started working on OpenPlanner 5 years ago as part of my PhD studies at Nagoya University. After graduation last year, I joined Nagoya University, Takeda Laboratory.

I invite everyone who is using or interested in OpenPlanner development to join us in a new journey.
From next week I will host a new Autoware working group (Autoware OpenPloanner WOrking Group) which will be held every two weeks starting next Tuesday. 2021-03-09T07:00:00Z

Objectives of the working group:

  1. Discuss the current problems of OpenPlanner and how to solve them
  2. Collect suggestions and ideas to improve OpenPlanner to be able to meet a wider range of audience
  3. Invite University research students and other contributors to participate in the development process of OpenPlanner.
  4. Satisfy the need of integrating OpenPlanner to the latest Autoware.AI and Autoware.Auto releases.
  5. Improve the integration of OpenPlanner to CARLA and LGSVL simulators

Proposed discussion for first meeting:

  1. Members introduction
  2. OpenPlanner introduction and latest features
  3. OpenPlanner development roadmap
  4. Participants are encouraged to share their experience and stories of using OpenPlanner
  5. Who can contribute, how, for how long.
