Two PhD positions in Semantic SLAM and Aerial-Ground Robot Teaming

We are looking for two PhD candidates in the domains of:

  • Semantic Simultaneous Localization and Mapping
  • Aerial-Ground Robot Teaming for Inspection of Industrial Environments
Both positions are with the Autonomous Robots Lab (https://www.autonomousrobotslab.com/) of NTNU and focuses on fundamental and applied research in the domain of resilient robotic perception and spatial intelligence in fully or partially GPS/GNSS-denied and possibly visually-degraded environments. Our team has leading research in robotic autonomy. Our track-record includes the recent win on the DARPA Subterranean Challenge (leading Team CERBERUS), top-tier publications, widely-used open-source code, a host of prestigious grants funded by both US and European sources, and an international network of research collaborators.
