This role will be in our Artificially Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (AIMS) Lab at the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME). We partner with industry professionals and university academics to convert the latest innovations into robust manufacturing solutions.
CDME offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diversity of projects where you may serve as a researcher, designer, or developer. Our portfolio covers both community R&D exploration and focused client projects. As a part of the university, we also contribute to making robotics and ROS more accessible to our regional community – from high school to professionals.

Desired Education:
Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Robotics, or related fields
Desired Experience:
- 5 years experience, or equivalent combination of education + project experience
- Experience with industrial automation, six-axis arms or mobile robots
- C++, Python, ROS and ROS 2, OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Linux CLI, Git, Network administration, Solidworks, AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience working in an R&D setting (i.e., planning and conducting R&D projects/programs in terms of technical and managerial functions)
