For nearly 30 years, TRACLabs researchers have worked with NASA, DARPA and other DoD branches, universities, and private industry to push the boundaries of research in intelligent robot control, human-robot interfaces, and electronic procedure platforms. We are seeking full-time robotics software/research engineers for immediate employment to support various government and commercially funded projects. Due to the nature of some of our contracts, individuals already able to work in the US are strongly preferred. The projects span areas including shared autonomy, perception, manipulation, multi-agent planning and control, task planning, and resource allocation/management. The primary job duty will be to participate in the design and development of software to support these efforts in collaboration with other team members. Remote work is possible. Some light travel may be required to support project demonstrations or integrations. Qualified candidates would have:

  • BS in a robotics-related field (such as Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • experience with ROS
  • extensive C++/Python experience
  • familiarity with version control tools such as git
  • experience with perception toolkits such as OpenCV/PCL

Highly qualified candidates would additionally have:

  • MS in a robotics related field (such as Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • ROS2 experience
  • Familiarity with Agile software development, specifically Jira software tools
  • Experience with CNN frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.
  • Experience with physical robot hardware
