Looking for ROS2 Jobs in France/Europe

Hi everyone,

My name is Sampreet. I am currently a Robotics Engineer at the CEA in Nantes, France. I have been working on manipulation of a robotic arm for achieving tasks in a complex environment for the past year. I am now looking for a new job, preferably in France, where I can continue working with ROS2.

A little about myself, I am a recent graduate in Control and Robotics from Ecole Centrale de Nantes in the discipline of Control and Robotics, with a specialisation in Embedded Real-Time Systems. During the course of my work at CEA, I have been responsible for trajectory generation for the robot to perform a specific job, while evading obstacles. I have gained a lot of insight on MoveIt2 and using RGB-D cameras to detect and localise objects in 3d space during my work. In my spare time, I also dabble around with building my own robot, where I am mainly focusing on the Embedded development at the moment.

I’d love to have a job that makes me work on ROS2, preferably on both robot arms as well a bit of work in mobile robots. I’d like to stay in France since I have put in effort to learn the language and the culture, but I am excited about opportunities in other European countries as well. I am very curious about languages, and I find that I am capable of learning a language quite quick.

I would highly appreciate it if you have some information on open positions I can apply for. Even if you do not have open positions, I’m also quite interested to know your advice on working with ROS2, robotics in general, or anything under the sun !

Have a nice day, :grinning:
Sampreet

Hi @ssarkar. We currently have some open positions: Job offers | Bosch in Germany and maybe this will be especially interesting: Research Engineer Data-driven Engineering in Robotics (f/m/div.) | Bosch in Germany
You would have to move to Germany, but speaking only English should be no problem.

Hey @ct2034 thanks for letting me know about the open positions. I took a look at the data driven engineering in Robotics post, and it looks very interesting.
It’s good that I would be able to get by with speaking only English, but I would also try and learn a bit of German while I am at it
