I am getting the following error when building a messages package with this latest rolling sync:

Ok, I fixed by reverting to empy version 3.3.4. But why should I have to do this?

Because we only test against the versions that are shipped in the latest Ubuntu LTS, i.e. Ubuntu 24.04. In this case, that is empy 3.4, and empy 4 has changed parts of the API.

That said, we specifically added code recently to handle both Empy 3 and Empy 4. We just didn’t release it yet, so it didn’t make it into this sync. The next sync should have that code.

Hmm. OK. I didn’t explicitly install empy 4 in my docker image but maybe it came in as a dependency of another module?

@nuclearsandwich @clalancette I would like to request a new sync because some packages are fixed and it’s been more than a month since the last sync.
