Robotics Distributed System based on Kubernetes

I would not say it is necessary. But using orchestration, I think there would be advantages such as maintenance, robustness and service availability. Our target is distributed system, so that it is not only for single robot like ROS1 but ROS2.

Is orchestration primarily coming into the picture when there is offload to an on-premise Edge Server or Cloud.

I believe so. that is one of the focus.

is there a way for us to discuss offline?

I am willing to do that. Could you send me a PM?

Nice!

Yep, I’ve played around with it already. Was fun to play with.

There is another lightweight Kubernetes: microk8s (Apache-2.0).

Hi @tomoyafujita,
I stumbled across this guide, which seems really promising. I’m also very interested in this and would appreciate it if a second updated talk could take place and join you.

@mikekaram

thanks, and just for your information, we’ve been already developing some ideas.

here is the presentation slides for KubeCon2021 EU Edge Day.
