ROS Answers search

I hate how the search works on ROS Answers:

  • Type in words in the search box.
  • Middle mouse click on it to open it in a new tab, the search closes, you have to type in again to trigger the search window. This means it’s really a pain to open 2 or 3 search results.
  • If you hit enter on the search box then the page open doesn’t display the same results as the one suggested in the search box.

Is there something to configure to improve this behavior?


Are the inverse kinematics of simulation the same as the inverse kinematics of real robot?

The search is not the best no.

Personally I always use Google with something like: my search terms site:answers.ros.org.

I posted on the answers.ros.org issue tracker about this quite some time ago as well: ros-infrastructure/answers.ros.org#155.
