ROS installation errors

i, I’m new to ROS, therefore getting into trouble during installation. I have Ubuntu 14.04 running on my computer and I’m trying to install ROS Indigo. Setup of Source.List and Setup of Keys was successfully completed but thesudo apt-get update gives a lot of errors .

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.ros.org/ros/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages  Hash Sum mismatch

W: Failed to fetch http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty/Release  Unable to find expected entry 'restricted/source/Sources' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
