We are excited to announce that Harsh Deshpande(@ipa-hsd) will be speaking at our ROS meetup in Pune. Harsh who is originally from Pune received his masters degree in Mechatronics from Fachhochschule Aachen, Germany in 2017 and has since been working as a research engineer at the department of Robots and Assistive Systems at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, Germany.
Harsh has a strong background in software quality assurance and model based engineering, and has been involved in a number of projects related to the Robot Operating System (ROS). He is currently leading the ROS-Industrial Consortium in Europe along with its group leader, and has also been an early founding member of a robotics start-up in India in 2007.
For our meetup, Harsh will be presenting on the topic of “How to build a open source robotics ecosystem in a competitive environment”. In this talk, Harsh will discuss the challenges and opportunities of building an open source robotics ecosystem, and will provide insights and best practices for how to navigate a competitive landscape.
