The ROS PMC meeting for this week was on Tuesday (sorry, I forgot to post notes until now). The notes from the meeting are available at ROS PMC weekly meeting agenda - Google Docs. This week we:
- Formally established the Client Library Working Group, our first official working group
- Discussed a few rosdistro issues
- Discussed the preliminary Kilted timeline
- Got an update on the work transitioning rmw_zenoh to zenoh-cpp
- Discussed loaned samples, and various ways to deal when a ring-buffer is full
- Discussed why we don’t have constructors for message types that take in all fields
This was the last ROS PMC meeting for 2024; happy holidays to all. The next ROS PMC meeting will be on January 7, 2025: Open Source Robotics Foundation official events.
The ROS PMC meets on a weekly basis to discuss details of the ROS 2 core. This is a working meeting, where only members of the ROS PMC and associated committers may speak. However, anyone is welcome to join as an observer. Come and find out how ROS 2 is developed!
