On December 7th and 8th, ROSCon China 2024 was held for the first time in China. The event attracted over 200 manufacturers and research institutions, with the primary audience being professionals involved in robotics development and research.
ROSCon China 2024, themed “Exploring the Future of Robotics” highlighted the important role of ROS in driving innovation in robotics technology and industrial upgrading. The two-day event focus on four main topics:
- Embracing the Intelligent Era: Deep Integration of AI and Robotics Technology and Practical Implementation
- Frontiers of ROS Technology: Exploring the Development of Robot Operating Systems and Applications
- Building an Industry Ecosystem Based on ROS: Co-creating the Future of Robotics
- A New Era of Robot Operating Systems: Global ROS and Domestic Self-developed Systems.
Experts and scholars from both China and abroad have been invited to discuss and share the latest advancements, future trends, and application scenarios of ROS technology.
The conference also invited several leading robotics companies to share successful cases and lessons learned in applying ROS technology. NVIDIA, as an open-source contributor and supporter of the ROS ecosystem, showcased its latest achievements in robotic learning, including an open-source modular framework that provides developers with a powerful toolset for reinforcement learning and imitation learning, with support for multi-GPU and multi-node configurations.
In addition to NVIDIA, many other robotics ecosystem partners will also present the latest application scenarios in the field of ROS.
The hosting of ROSCon China 2024 provides a platform for international communication and cooperation in the development of robotics technology in China. It will also foster domestic and international technical exchanges and collaboration. The event will be held annually in the future, and we look forward to seeing you at ROSCon China 2025.
