You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a brand-new ROS2 project and build the Planning subsystem from the ground up. This is a 15-month contract.

Position: Sr. Robotics Software Engineer - Motion Planning
- Full-time contracting position - 40 hour/week
- 15-month project duration
Ownership of the Planning system within the autonomous architecture
Development of motion planning algorithms for articulated dump trucks (fixed path following, online 3 point-turn planning for loading and dumping, and obstacle avoidance)
Development of behavior planning algorithms to control high-level vehicle behavior (state-machines, etc.)
Testing of algorithms in high-fidelity commercial simulation tool
Opportunity to expand into telematics, simulation, perception, and other areas down the road
2+ years of professional experience with ROS
2+ years of Motion Planning experience or similar experience
5+ years of C++ professional development experience
2+ years of Python professional development experience
Strong mathematical skills (e.g. you’re comfortable with articulated vehicle kinematic modeling, planning algorithms, state machinces, etc.)
Agile Scrum experience is helpful
Prior experience at an autonomous vehicle company is helpful
