Screen Cap from the 2017 ARIAC Winner
Hi Everyone,
NIST has asked me to pass along an update on the 2021 Agile Robotics for Industrial Automation Competition (ARIAC). If you are unfamiliar with ARIAC it is a simulation-based robotics competition similar to the DARPA SubT Challenge, but focused specifically on industrial robot applications. This year is the fifth anniversary of the competition; and the high-level parameters of the competition are the same as in prior years. This year’s competition will be simulation based and there will be three wining slots with a prize pool of US$17500.
To learn more about the competition specifics you should plan on attending the launch telecon on Wednesday 2021-02-03T18:30:00Z. The connection details can be found on the project website. You can get a rough idea of the competition software by looking at the repository from the prior year. Registration for the event can be accomplished through this google form. Questions and requests for information can be made through ariac@nist.gov. We would encourage everyone to use the ROS Discourse ARIAC Users
category to find team mates and discuss the competition.
Cheers, and good luck!
