Me after knowing that in ROS 2, we can create a fully distributed system.
I am once again debugging an ordering issue in CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH for an underlay and am wondering how as a C++/ROS community we haven’t found some way to punt this whole build and packaging system for cargo.
Don’t get me wrong, great work on the Turtlebot4, we’re just still some years away from the components being cheap enough to buy for personal hobby use. Until then, all hail Gazebo!
What is your price point for a ROS2 hobby robot? A repurposed Neato Botvac and a Raspberry Pi 4 could be used for about $300.
Also, you might want to check out the linobot project.
I wish that pricing reflected reality. RPI4 are typically about $200 today for an 8GB if you can find them. Too bad profiteering doesn’t apply to non-essentials.
Ordinarily I won’t tolerate advertising on ROS Discourse but I am going to make an exception this one time.
More memes with ROS and Invicible, please
I sat on this long enough. Maybe I’m just not cultured enough to understand the importance of words of Hoare?
Now you are getting angry to me but those papers save millions of developer hours every year. And it’s good
