Hardware Interfaces Working Group #16 Meeting 12/08 (Thursday)

For #16 on 12/8 we will review notes/examples relative to robotic motion descriptions for various OEMs. In the last meeting some examples of motion behavior were shared from a Fanuc manual for instance.

I will summarize within the WG Minutes, link below, the discussion. Please feel free to add commentary as well to aid in discussion.

Ideally this will inform sub-group tasking and aid in setting a more consistent path forward to a path towards identifying semantics for hardware interfaces in particular.

Thanks!

Due to technical issues with the online meeting platform (Zoom) we are unable to meet today.

Our next meeting will take place on January 5th, 2023.

I will add my notations on descriptions of motion behavior learned from ABB documentation. If anyone else has examples of manipulator motion behavior descriptions from documentation they would make valuable examples. Similar for other hardware types as well, i.e. cameras. These are examples of the types of semantics we are seeking to capture. (from the notes)

Thanks again and apologies for the technical issues.

Matt R.
