Is azure kinect getting an upgrade?

Hi All,

Just curious on what everybody’s thought on AKDK. Don’t see many applications here, may that because of it’s bulky size.

  1. What’s your reason of not liking it?
  2. Have you heard about AKDK getting an upgrade?
  3. What features would you wish for the upgrade?

Full disclosure. I do not work for MSFT, but fortunately had a peek of the next Gen ToF technology, detail specs.

It looks like these are available again - but for about a year, you couldn’t order them or even get anyone to respond to email/phone about lead times - that has probably limited how many applications are out there.
