I am organizing the second ROS Meetup in Austin, TX and am looking for speakers! The topic of discussion will be using ROS in a production environment. Specifically, what are the pros and cons of using a large open source framework like ROS. What ROS specific tools do people use the most in production and testing? Do all the extra tools and integration capabilities that come along with it make it worth using or are there more advantages to using in house middleware? Why does your company use or not use ROS?
