Thanks @nuclearsandwich for herding the cats sync onto Ubuntu Jammy! I’ve opened an upstream PR to migrate ROS Rolling tags in Official Library on Docker Hub over to Jammy, but encounter snag when using rospkg and subsequently rosdep:

It’ll be a bit of a blocker for most Dockerfile recipes migrating to ros:rolling-ros-core-jammy.

Thanks for raising the issue Ruffin! There’s been a lot in flight with this transition but I’ll put this on the top of my priority list for tomorrow.

I think a rebuild of all python and message packages are required on jammy. A fresh ros-rolling install via apt has both python3.10 and python3.9 site-packages after jammy has moved to python 3.10.

There is already a sync in progress which was interrupted by the partial transition to 3.10. Now that the transition is complete the sync is proceeding Preparing for Rolling sync 2022-03-24 - #13 by nuclearsandwich
