New ROS-compatible 3D camera from Nerian

Nerian just released a new 3D depth camera based on stereo vision. The Scarlet 3D camera can sense more than 70 million 3D points per second and achieve image resolutions of up to 5 megapixels. It has IP67 protection and an extremely ruggedized design. It is the third stereo-vision based sensor system by Nerian after the very successful SceneScan system, which will remain available for less-demanding applications.

It’s in the planning and will be released some time this year (unfortunately I can’t be more concise yet). For now the ROS2/ROS1 bridge can be used.
