ROS 2 snapshots unreachable (504 Gateway Timeout)

Hi everyone,

We rely on the ROS 2 Humble snapshot from 2025-05-16 for both our development containers and production deployments. As of today, we can no longer install packages from that snapshot: attempting to reach: http://snapshots.ros.org/humble/2025-05-16/.

It appears to be an outage on the snapshot server, since the same issue arises for other distros.
Is anyone else encountering this issue, or does anyone have updates on the server status or an estimated resolution time?

Thanks for the report. The snapshots server was ailing and has since been recovered. In the future you can also report issues on GitHub · Where software is built
