When does the new release get pushed to snapshots.ros.org?

We’re facing some strange issues with errors that look like this:

/usr/bin/ld: /opt/ros/humble/lib/librclcpp.so: undefined reference to `rcl_clock_time_started'

when building colcon workspaces on some of our build farms, we’re using the ros:humble-ros-base docker image.

rcl_clock_time_started was introduced by the bump to rosbag2 version in this release, but what can be causing this?

If I’m not mistaken, @nuclearsandwich pushes the releases to snapshots periodically, but there’s no set schedule.

Strange. I’m not sure why that would be. Could it be a caching issue on your buildfarm?

I’m surprised we didn’t see it on our CI (maybe caching saved us?).

In the dockerfile I clone rclcpp (humble) and build it. The base image is ros:humble-perception.

The most common reason for this sort of error is a system that’s only partially up to date.

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade is the solution if that’s the case.
