@tfoote as you suggested regarding the creation of the local user group for India.
The name of the local user group should be : ROS India user group
The language of preference would be English
As seeing the growing community of ROS developer in India .We think their is a need of local community that can be nourished and have their on little platform of Robotics enthusiast that can share their local meetup ,extra experiences in here with all the community member .And help in making this user group more fruitful.
As for now we are not having a common platform for all the user .So, we think that this can solve this problem.
Thanks for your guideline @tfoote
Yes! It is a great initiative. India is huge. Presently India requires a more of automation and robotics industries. India is a huge market ready for being automated. Its we who need to start collaborating to make this possible. Language doesn’t matter, just the task needs to be accomplished.
Group should be created. It will be great opportunity for all of the robotic nerds to elaborate our robotic knowledge. It would be more appreciated if hindi is preferred
It looks like there’s support for this. In the proposal there’s a statement of why this would be valuable. But please also propose the actual content to go into the about page for the sub category that can be copy and pasted into the pinned about topic for the category.
Hi, @tfoote here is the content for the about page. Really excited to finally see this happening
PFA, the ROS logo merged with india flag for the sub-category
Welcome to the ROS India Users Group.
The purpose of this group is to publicise events, encourage budding roboticists and develop a strong ROS ecosystem in INDIA. Feel free to share jobs, request for jobs, projects, experiences, cool experiments, issues, queries, etc. Keep sharing in Hindi, English or any local dialect with your Indian ROS family.
We also have a ROS India users group here:
This is great!!!
As on coming 30th March we are organising our first ROS meetup in Chandigarh . For that, I think it would provide the common platform for all the Indian users to get informed about this event .
