Space ROS Community Working Group Meeting

Hi ROS Community,

We’re excited to continue our discussions about ROS in space with our next community working group meeting on Space ROS, following from our previous meeting at ROSCon Kyoto. Open Robotics and PickNik have been working with NASA and other organizations over the past year to make this vision a reality and we’d like to share updates with the greater community. PickNik is especially invested in this initiative to enable our Space MoveIt program (funded by NASA) to provide more capable manipulation for IVA, EVA, and ISAM domains.

My apologies, I had a scheduling mistake and we need to adjust the time to 1pm PST from the originally announced time to accommodate some key attendees from NASA and Open Robotics.

Is there a calendar invite for this? WIll this be a recurring meeting like Nav2 and ros_control meetings?

@dt1729 We’re still deciding if this will be Monthly or quarterly and how the event will be structured; and will post notes from the event here either way on our decisions.
