The Embodied AI Community Group dedicated to the topic of applications of Generative AI to ROS 2 robotics will have its fourth meeting on 12 Feb at 16:00 UTC (8:00 am PST).
Our most recent meeting last week was attended by 22 people, and the group member count keeps increasing. I am pleased to note that we have a lively and engaged community!
During the meeting, Miguel of University of León presented AI integration with ROS 2 through
GitHub - mgonzs13/llama_ros: llama.cpp (GGUF LLMs) and llava.cpp (GGUF VLMs) for ROS 2 and associated projects (yolo_, piper_, whisper_ packages), and Shubhan Patni shared a conference invitation for IEEE ICDL.
We also shared group updates and discussed recent developments in embodied AI, including exciting projects such as:
- GitHub - allenzren/open-pi-zero: Re-implementation of pi0 vision-language-action (VLA) model from Physical Intelligence
- GitHub - Genesis-Embodied-AI/Genesis: A generative world for general-purpose robotics & embodied AI learning.
- GitHub - NVIDIA/Cosmos: Cosmos is a world model development platform that consists of world foundation models, tokenizers and video processing pipeline to accelerate the development of Physical AI at Robotics & AV labs. Cosmos is purpose built for physical AI. The Cosmos repository will enable end users to run the Cosmos models, run inference scripts and generate videos.
