I recently discovered that there is a ROS India user group, and as an Indian, I would be delighted to be part of it. This post serves as my introduction and request to meet all of you.
My name is Ravi, and I am an Indian living in Japan. I received Ph.D. degree from the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan) in the field of assistive robotics. During my research, I developed robotic clothing assistance, a robotic system that utilizes dual-arm Baxter robot to assist the elderly in getting them dressed up.
Currently, I am the lead robotics engineer at FingerVision Inc (Japan), and before that, I worked as a senior robotics engineer at TechMagic (Japan).
I have been using ROS since the Indigo version and currently using ROS 2 Humble version. I actively support/answer at on ROS answers, although my schedule has become more hectic over the time.
