Agenda:

  • Gazebo Classic EOL consequences for MoveIt 2
    • Classic will not be available in Jazzy
    • Not a big concern because we have very little maintained code
      • Only xacro files and tutorials need to be updated
    • But we should have more resources around using Gazebo with MoveIt
    • A lot of the tutorials are broken
    • Can we find funding for the tutorials?
  • What to do with the tutorials?
    • Lots on unported non-working tutorials
      • Little capacity to port the missing parts
    • Integrate tutorials into main repos to force maintenance
    • GSoC project to work on the tutorials?
  • GSoC 2024
    • Google Summer of Code
    • We need to flesh out internal project proposals but also looking forward to see students ideas
  • Transition to Jazzy timeline planning
