New packages for ROS 2 Rolling Ridley 2025-01-02

New year new sync! In that same spirit, I’ll be handing off the Rolling ROS boss duties to @Yadunund. I think it’s fair to say that the Rolling distribution has been a successful endeavor in reducing the friction of bringing up new ROS distributions and giving ROS developers access to the latest packages for testing upcoming features. As someone who uses both the gz-ros2-control and pinocchio packages that were just removed from binaries…

Is the intention for these packages to get re-added once build errors are resolved, or should we be looking to build these from source going forward?

@scastro I think you need to specify ros-rolling-gz-ros2-control or ros-jazzy-gz-ros2-control instead

Looks like this CI job has been failing for a few weeks but the github repo is only checking github ci not jenkins ci.

Once the packages build successfully they’ll be included in the net Rolling sync. If we get them addressed we can run a sync whenever things are settled and they are available to restore them.
