We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate individual who is willing to create the digital platform that will power the state-of-the-art robotics 3D printing hardware. The perfect fit for this job should understand the complications and needs of industrial manufacturing technologies and have a passion for transforming them into true autonomous systems. Our projects focus on large-scale and/or high-performance applications, as well as research and development for creating new generations of robotic 3D printing systems. This is a great opportunity to put your software skills to use to create a true real-time control system and a simulation environment for the next generation of autonomous robotic manufacturing technologies. We are a small and high-performing team, and we are looking for a flexible, initiative-taking, independent, and an honest and clear communicator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create middleware (software and firmware) for real-time robotics control and integration with industrial hardware
  • Work with physics simulation environments
  • Develop mathematical models for novel 3D printing slicers
  • Create end-user-facing web applications
  • Develop algorithms for unique multiple-robot collaborative motion planning tasks including AI planning and additive and composites manufacturing specific control algorithms

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and a good understanding of Linux operating systems
  • Experience working with 3D computer graphics, simulation, modeling environments
  • Proficiency in ROS and ROS2
  • Experience with closed-loop feedback systems development and motion planning
  • Experience with backend and front-end web development
  • Ability to develop, integrate, test, and release production-ready code in a large-scale commercial setting
  • Distributed systems, embedded systems, and networking architectures

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • US citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card)
