ROS Meetup at Automate in Detroit
Hi Everyone,
I’ve worked with our colleagues at ROS Industrial and Picknik to organize a ROS Meetup at the Automate Conference in Detroit. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 2025-05-13T21:00:00Z→2025-05-14T00:00:00Z at the historic Anchor Bar just a block away from Automate.
Please RSVP here
I’ll be at Automate and the ROS Industrial annual meeting all week. Please reach out if you would like to chat! I’ll have a stack of Kilted Kaiju stickers with me.
Also, don’t forget to stop by the SwRI booth to say, “hi” to our colleagues at ROS Industrial. If you are interested, I have some colleagues at the University of Michigan who are organizing a tour of the University of Michigan’s new undergraduate robotics program in Ann Arbor (about an hour away). Drop me a line if you would like to join the tour.

Related to Automate, I’ve been acting as an advisor to University of Michigan’s new robotics undergraduate program. The university is looking for industry partners to motivate / sponsor student capstone projects and facilitate tech transfer out of academia. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity and visit UofM’s state of the art facility in Ann Arbor please send me a DM or visit their booth at Automate.
