For beta-testing some changes to motoman_driver
, we’re looking for people willing to help out and with access to SDA type robots (ie: dual arms). Both DX100 and FS100 controllers would be ok.
Tests should not take too long, as no changes on the controller would be necessary.
If you’re willing to help out, or know someone who may be willing to help out, please send me a DM here or post a comment here.

Hi, we have dual arm robot, but not SDA though, it is two MA1400 on rotary axis with DX100 controller, three groups, one for each robot and one for the rotary axis. One problem might be that the firmware is quite old. I tried the recent motoros driver and got the ALARM 1020[5].
You can have a look at the robot here to have an idea.

Thanks for responding @liborw
I’ll keep your offer in mind, although we’re specifically looking for SDA robots + their controllers. Those have a rather unique internal configuration of the motion groups which is the part we’re trying to make sure we don’t break with the changes I mention in the OP.
I’m not 100% sure, but I believe your setup wouldn’t have that configuration, as it’d be a “regular” 3 group setup.
However, testing more setups is never a bad thing, so I’ll reach out to you once we have something we feel could benefit from it.
(the alarm you mention does make that a bit more difficult though, but let’s see)
Hey Gijs,
As you’re probably well aware, we have an SDA at Tecnalia. Not sure of the particular controller right now, but please do count on us if you want us to test anything.
It’s been a while that we have that model “abandoned”, so it’d certainly be good for us too if we managed to have a nicer driver working.
Don’t hesitate to contact me directly to follow up.
