New consolidated status page for Open Robotics Infrastructure and deprecation of status.ros.org

The Infrastructure project has set up a new status page at https://status.openrobotics.org which includes status information for Open Robotics services related to ROS, Gazebo, and Open-RMF, along with other web sites and services that OSRF hosts.

Part of the motivation behind this new status page is consolidating the services that OSRF and the Infrastructure project use to provide and manage these services. In service of those efforts, the existing status page at https://status.ros.org is now deprecated. We plan, in the coming weeks, to redirect status.ros.org to status.openrobotics.org and decommission the current ROS status page.

The new status site is currently configured to post updates to the #infra-status channel in the official OSRF Discord server and you can also use this RSS feed to stay on top of updates to the Open Robotics infrastructure.

The new interface looks slick! Can we make skins for it?

Please do! Let’s bring back the era of web where all you needed was greasemonkey, Firebug and a dream.

That’ll be great! Right now it confuses a bit. By my long-term habit I just went to status.ros.org, not to the new site, and didn’t realize for a while that it’s deprecated.
