After this patch the mppi controller is crashing when loading the critics.

Strange. Have you figured it out?

If you haven’t already, maybe make an issue on their repo. Let me know if you think it comes from a change in the ROS 2 core repos (basically, rclcpp, rclpy, and rviz down).
