Thanks for the release. I just noticed the -dbgsym packages have again started popping up in this list. We discussed that some time ago and agreed they are just adding noise and it’d be better to not have them in the list. But I’m not sure if the solution for ROS 1 release announcements was some manual filtering or if the fix was somehow algorithmic…

It was manual filtering. I agree it would be nice to remove them, probably on the buildfarm output (that these lists come from).

The announcement reports are generated here: https://github.com/ros-infrastructure/reprepro-updater/blob/fe10f4f6d1cb6bff997fb556fdab241d8a4c93f5/src/reprepro_updater/diff_repos.py#L72 in the refactor branch. A PR to filter those out would be appreciated, though keeping them listed in the console output would probably be good too so we have the log of them, just not in the announcement section copied and pasted.

Yeah I prefer to keep the detailed logs in the sync jobs. Here’s the scripts that I use to facilitate sync announcements for Rolling.
