One of my third party repositories with a patch in rolling seems to have lost the patches after this sync - rot_conv_lib-release. This causes the package to not be built properly in the binary jobs (but the build passes).

To be specific, the patches in the rolling release branches went missing in the commit Rebase from β€˜upstream’ (no changes). I’m going to guess this has affected other repositories with patches too.

Oh no! Thanks for the report. I expect that your package was affected by [migration-tools] release and platform branch history is not preserved when source and dest are the same. Β· Issue #32128 Β· ros/rosdistro Β· GitHub which we neglected to fix before this migration. @cottsay did a bunch of work to rectify affected packages but was working from a list of packages which were hit the previous time, and thus missed this one. If you have not already re-applied the patches and re-released the package then I can help do so.

Thanks for the reply @nuclearsandwich, that explains it. Do you know if you or @cottsay have made changes to rot_conv_lib after your last post? The commit I referenced in my previous post now says β€œ(no changes)”, and I see the patches in the branches. However, I don’t see any new commits. Perhaps history has been rewritten and force pushed…?

If that’s the case - I believe all I have left to do is make a new release but just want to make sure I’m not missing anything…
