Knightly Kestrel
Kawaii Kestrel
“Kitted” as an adjective- as in “assembled or equipped with the necessary items or components”
Here more options:
But some interesting ones already mentioned are:
Krono (Chrono)
Kubrick
kawaii waifu - Kawaii
I’m surprised no one’s suggested “Knitted” yet.
Knitted Koopa is a thing that could actually exist.
Kicky Kinixys
“Kinixys” is a hinge-back tortoises.
Illustration work will be fun!
You’re welcome already
Since I am from Paraguay, it will be so cool to have ROS Distro name in Guarani.
I think Karumbe is a great idea.
Kind Karumbe sounds good to me
Kinematic kleinmann seems fine considering other version words

@DLu
I vote for Kappa. +1
oh wow, I was confused when I saw someone mention my name, but yes there is a Kimberley Long-neck Turtle ( Chelodina walloyarrina - Wikipedia). You learn something new every day! Not sure how I feel about the distro being called that like that… calls like kim kimber perhaps but I can’t really but an adjective to that since that is a bit too meta for me.
If anyone see the appeal to the name, I hope won’t be with a negative adj Although I can live with Kooky Kimber
How about Kaleidic Kino. Kaleidic means colorful and Kino is also the german word for cinema.
Kiddy Kappa as a baby kappa for non-duplication of ROSCon.jp mascot last year will be great!

.
.
I suggest “Karakuri” .
Karakuri is a traditional Japanese automata.
I opt for Kreativ Kachuga.
But whatever name will be chosen, you will always be able to draw a Turtle from the letter “K”.
And as a result you will have a KTurtle.
“Kempt kemp”:
kempt referring to clean and tidy maintained system of ROS and Kemp is a nod to Kemps riddley turtle which are a critically endangered species. Plus the name sounds like a good tongue twister
“Kalidescopic kappa”:
A name that reflects different interpretations of the same system through a kaleidoscope and kappa is the nod towards a humanoid turtle!
This post probably holds the record for engaging the most “first-time posters”. If only we knew it was that simple
