San Francisco police can now use robots with lethal force in certain circumstances – Background and local coverage.
I’m a resident of San Francisco and I went to the board of supervisors meeting where the policy was approved and even wrote the supervisors a letter. I would encourage all of you to consider how you would react if such a policy was proposed in your area. If I realized one thing in this process, it is that we as roboticists need to help inform our elected officials.
