micro-ROS @ ERF 2021!

micro-ROS is thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosted by this year’s European Robotics Forum, in the context of a dedicated workshop organized hand-by-hand by the partners of the EU-funded OFERA project eProsima, Bosch Research, and PIAP, the founders and maintainers of micro-ROS.

The workshop, with the self-explicative title “Deeply embedded software”, brings together researchers and developers who work on bridging the gap between standard service-oriented frameworks like ROS 2 and resource-constrained environments, with a focus on the micro-ROS software stack.

We will present an overview of the micro-ROS project, detail its latest developments and new features, and also devote time to two user stories. We invited speakers from two European robotics companies to present their micro-ROS-related projects. Namely:

  • WYCA Robotics - a French company operating in the field of Robotics, AI, and autonomous navigation, dedicated to developing indoor mobile robots.
  • Hydra System - a Polish company providing geolocalization systems to enable field navigation and automated work functions in the agricultural field.

Finally, we’ll host a lively discussion about deeply embedded software in robotics in general.

The workshop will take place next Tuesday, the 13th of April, at 14.05 CEST: save the date! Registration is open here.
