Have you ever done any kind of test in the field or used field data on ROS applications? How about runtime verification? Do you have an idea of how techniques for testing robots in the field might be improved? We want to hear from you!
We are a group of researchers from Chalmers | University of Gothenburg (Sweden), Gran Sasso Science Institute (Italy), University of Brasília (Brazil), and Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), studying runtime verification and field testing of ROS-based applications. We synthesized 20 guidelines that should help developers and quality assurance (QA) teams to gather confidence in ROS systems. Now, we aim to get first-hand insights and opinions from experts to greatly help the robotics software engineering community.
We invite you to participate in a 15-30min online survey. Participating will allow you to reflect on your own practices, learn about others’ practices, describe challenges, and suggest improvements to the robotics software engineering research community.
We split the survey into two parts, developers and quality assurance (QA) teams, to give you more flexibility in answering. Please consider answering both. Survey:
- from developers’ perspective (complete time: ~15min):
