Use supported precise positing systems in ROS with our new official driver
We at NovAtel Inc. have just published our first official and supported ROS driver, called the novatel_oem7_driver, now available in the ROS distribution.
NovAtel produces renowned world-class resilient positioning systems based on GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, etc) that are optionally transparently fused with Inertial Measurement Systems.
Some key benefits of our positioning solutions include:
Multi-GNSS constellation options (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS)
Multi-frequency support for each constellation
L-band support allows for real-time correction subscriptions to improve real-time position accuracies to the 2cm range.
Sensor fusion with Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) to continue positioning through total GNSS outages (such as passing under sky obstructions)

ROS users can now use the novatel_oem7_driver with our 7th generation products to take advantage of these extreme precision solutions.
This driver is available for quick and easy installation through the ROS distribution, or for customization through our MIT-licensed source code, distributed through GitHub.
